Aaron Wise is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. In 2018 he earned his inaugural win on the PGA Tour at the AT&T Byron Nelson and was named the 2018 Rookie of the Year. Was born in Cape Town, South Africa but moved to the United States at age 3. Loves going fast with favorite activities including go-karting and roller coasters. Favorite players to watch growing up were Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Tiger Woods. Aaron Wise was one of the most hotly recruited golfers in America when he came out of high school. Since his successful college career at Oregon, Wise has gone on to become a successful PGA Tour player. He was raised in Lake Elsinore, California. He was a high recruited by a number of colleges for a golf scholarship, he eventually chose the University of Oregon where he helped the Oregon Ducks win the NCAA title in 2016 where he also won a NCAA individual title. Became first player since Kevin Chappell (UCLA) in 2008 to win both the Individual and Team NCAA Championships. He turned professional after the 2016 NCAA title win, after just two years at college.
