After education at Our Lady of Lourdes school, Birkdale, she became a mother of three, living in Formby and working part-time in a newsagents. She had two sons by her first husband, the younger of whom was Kevin. After a divorce, she married Steve Williams, with whom she had a daughter. That relationship broke down in the years after Hillsborough. She later lived in Chester, and died of cancer at the age of 62, on 18 April 2013. Anne Williams and her husband Steve Williams are currently in the limelight after ITV released a new drama series of their case. Anne Williams was a campaigner fighting for justice for her son 15-year son Kevin and other victims of the Hillsborough disaster of 1989. The show is written by Kevin Sampson which will have four-part series. In this, we will see the relentless pursuit of a mother to uncover the truth of what happened to her son and the 97 victims unlawfully killed in the disaster. The show has premiered on ITV on Sunday 2 January, at 9 pm and the remaining three episodes will air later. Hillsborough campaigner, Anne Williams was married to her husband Steve Williams. Steve was actually the step-father to Anne’s son Kevin who died as part of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
