Here are some facts about the Belarusian tennis star. Sabalenka was born on 5th May 1998 in the city of Minsk Belarus. Her father is Sergey Sabalenka. Sabalenka started playing tennis at the age of 6 when her father was driving by a tennis court and they decided to give the sport a try. “One day, my dad was just driving me somewhere in the car, and on the way, he saw tennis courts. So he took me to the courts. I really liked it and enjoyed it and that’s how it was. That’s how it started.” She did not look back and in 2012 she played her first ITF circuit tournament in Belarus. Sabalenka plays right-handed. She is 5ft and 11inches tall which around 1.82 meters. Sabalenka currently resides in Belarus. After playing her first ITF circuit tournament in 2012, Sabalenka won 3 singles titles and one doubles title in the ITF circuit in 2015. The year 2017 was when she would grab the tennis world’s attention by leading the Belarus team to the final of the Fed Cup. Matvei is a professional hockey player from Belarus. He was born on January 10th, 1996. He is a hockey player that started his professional career with Shakhter Soligorsk-2 in 2013. Later he signed with Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL before joining Serebryanye Lvy St. Petersburg in 2015. In 2017 he was playing hockey for HK Mogilev in Belarus.
