CRAVITY’s Hyeongjun’s Facts
Hyeongjun had graduated from Yeongdeungpo High School. He also had studied at Hanlim Arts School, Dongwon Middle School, and Chungmu Elementary School. He has two older sisters. Hyeongjun has trained for a year and 3 months before participated in Produce X 101. When he was younger, his cheeks were chubby than now. Hyeongjun good at dancing, but he doesn’t good at freestyle dancing. Hyeongjun close with fellow Starship Entertainment trainees, one of them is Ham. Wonjin. CRAVITY’s Hyeongjun’s Appearance in ‘Produce X 101’
Produce X 101 is a survival reality show program from South Korea which aired on Mnet in 2019. This program has 101 contestants from various agencies or independent trainees selected through voting or live to vote in each elimination round. All contestants compete to get into the top-11, where the eleven contestants will be formed into a group, X1, where audience votes also determine the group name. Song Hyeongjun was a contestant of Produce X 101, where he was a trainee under Starship Entertainment. While being a contestant, he was chosen to be the leader of grade X to help other members learn the dance for the show’s main song. Then he also moved to D class. Hyeongjun reached 4th place with a vote of 1,049,222, and Hyeongjun’s total votes were 3,735,217. Here is a video performance of him when he became a contestant of the show!
Hyeongjun Debut With X1 and Their Official Disbandment
After making it into the top-11 by reaching 4th place, Hyeongjun and the 10 finalists were united into X1. This group consists of Han Seun-woo, Kim Yo Han, Kim Woo-seok, Cho Seung-youn, Son Dong-pyo, Lee Han-gyul, Nam Do-hyon, Kang Min-hee, Lee Eun Sang, Cha Jun-ho, and Song Hyeong-jun. The group was formed by voting on the Produce X 101, and debuted on August 27, 2019, with their first single entitled “Flash”. In this group, Hyeongjun got the position as a rapper and dancer because his dance skills can’t be doubted. Hyeongjun and X1 have a two and half year exclusive contract and a two and half year non-exclusive contract of 5 years since their debut. But not until 5 years, Hyeongjun’s group decided to disband. This is because voting manipulation was carried out, but even though the members were victims of this case, netizens wanted the group to disband.
Hyeongjun Debut With CRAVITY
After X1 disbanded, all former X1 members split up in carrying out their careers by becoming a member of a boy group again or in other activities. Hyeongjun is one of the X1 members who did re-debuted with his new group named CRAVITY. In this group, he debuted together with several former Produce X 101 contestants and former X1 members, such as Ham Won-jin, Kang Min-hee, and Goo Jung-mo. CRAVITY stands for Creativity and Gravity, where they officially debuted on April 14, 2020, with releasing the single “Break All The Rules” in their first mini-album entitled HIDEOUT, REMEMBER WHO WE ARE-SEASON1. It was different when Hyeongjun was in X1. He became a rapper and dancer, but in CRAVITY, he was no longer a rapper but became a main dancer and sub-vocalist.
