Jang Dong-yoon and Kim So-hyun – The Tale of Nokdu
Jang Dong-yoon and Kim So-hyun won the best couple awards at the KBS Drama Awards 2019. The actor and actress are the main roles of the popular drama “The Tale of Nokdu”. The drama “The Tale of Nokdu” first aired on KBS2 on September 30, 2019. The 2019 drama starring Jang Dong-yoon, Kim So-hyun, Kang Tae-oh, and Jung Joon-ho. The story of the drama is based on the webtoon by Hye-jin, which was published in 2014 on Naver Webtoon. In the drama ‘The Tale of Nokdu’, Jang Dong-yoon acted as Jeon Nok-du and Lady Kim Nok-soon. He is smart and has skill as a swordsman. Due to an incident, he has to enter an all-women village where men are strictly forbidden. There, he has to dress as a woman and disguise himself as a widowed Lady Kim Nok-soon. Meanwhile, Kim So-hyun has a role as Dong Dong-joo or Yoo Eun-seo, who is a clumsy and hot-tempered gisaeng trainee who has no skills in performing arts but is an artisan. She wants to take revenge on the man who wronged her family and she uses her skills in developing a concealed weapon. The story of the drama revolves around Jeon Nok-Du who lives on an island with his father and older brother. He is handsome, clever, and a good swordsman. Since childhood, his father did not want him to study or go to the mainland. One day, his family is attacked by a group of mysterious female assassins. Jeon Nok-Du chases after one of the assassins to the capital. During that time, Jeon Nok-Du meets Dong Dong-Ju who wants to shoot the King with her arrow, but Jeon Nok-Du saves her from the trouble. Meanwhile, the assassin that is being chased by Jeon Nok-Du escapes to a widowed village. He wants to find out who and why his family was attacked, and he has to disguise himself as a woman and enters the widow village. In the village, he meets Dong Dong-Ju again, who is an apprentice to become a gisaeng. Since it first aired to the end, the drama that left a happy ending is still a conversation because of the interesting story as well as the chemistry of the two main actors, Jang Dong-yoon and Kim So-hyun, considered to be very admirable. And he also is a kindhearted person. One day, he gets involved in a medical accident which he did not cause. Because of the medical accident, Na Yi-Je got kicked out of the hospital where he works. He then begins work as the chief of a prison medical clinic. The drama stars Nam Gong-min, Kwon Nara and Kim Byung-chul, Choi Won-young, Jung Hyun-sung, Lee Da-in, Lee Joon-hyuk, Kim Jung-nan, and others. It aired on KBS2’s Wednesdays and Thursdays from March 20, 2019, to May 15, 2019. In the drama ‘Doctor Prisoner’, Jang Hyun-sung has a role as Prosecutor Jung Wi-sik. Meanwhile, Kim Jung-nan acted as Oh Jung-hee, who is a prisoner who receives different treatment as a VIP in prison. The first episode of the “Doctor Prisoner” which aired on March 20, 2019, showed scenes of Na Yi-je meeting Oh Jung-hee who received different treatment as VIPs in prison. He manipulated the disease Oh Jung-hee so she could get out of the prison. Na Yi-je gave Oh Jung-hee a variety of medications and started creating symptoms of Fanconi’s anemia. Prosecutor Jang Wi-sik came to check on Oh Jung-hee. The doctor said that she had symptoms similar to Fanconi’s anemia and suggested moving her to an outside hospital as soon as possible. However, prosecutor Jang Wi-sik cannot let her go. At the same time, Oh Jung-hee fainted from heart failure after taking Na Yi-je’s medicine. Finally, she was transferred to the hospital. Since then Oh Jung-hee and prosecutor Jang Wi-sik romance continues. He later no longer is a prosecutor but on the bright side, he is going to take her case and prove her not guilty, till then she has to stay in the prison.
Kang Ha-neul and Gong Hyo-jin – When the Camellia Blooms
Gong Hyo-jin and Kang Ha-neul have been voted as the best couple at the ‘2019 KBS Drama Awards’. The ceremony took place on December 31, 2019, at the KBS Hall where the two talented actors were picked for their chemistry in ‘When the Camellia Blooms’. ‘When the Camellia Blooms’ is a romantic comedy-drama series that tells about three lovers at different stages of romance. Kang Ha-neul plays the role of Yong-sik, a young man who believes everything is possible if there is love. Meanwhile, Gong Hyo-jin played a role as Dong-baek, a woman who is older than Yong-sik. Yong-sik loves Dong-baek. In contrast to Yong-sik, the people around him don’t believe in the power of love. In one of the episodes of the drama, Dong-baek initially intends to move in order to avoid the serial killer who is currently targeting her. But Dong-baek finally decided not to move after engaging in a serious conversation with Kang Jong-ryeol. While walking towards her bar, Dong-baek meets Yong-sik.
Dong-baek reveals that she did not move because of the guy who stole her heart. The single mother even unexpectedly kissed Yong-sik’s cheek even though she was acting awkwardly afterward. Interestingly, Dong-baek’s kiss apparently gave courage in Yong-sik to kiss Dong-baek’s lips while saying, “You did it first (kiss).”
Kim Myung-soo and Shin Hye-sun – Angel’s Last Mission: Love

However, she suffers a devastating accident that leaves her blind. She then became bitter and abusive towards her staff, including her loyal secretary and butler, her conniving family, and everyone else. Meanwhile, Kim Myung-soo acted as Kim Dan, who is an optimistic, carefree angel who is always getting into trouble. In order to return to heaven, he is given the final mission to help Yeon-seo find her true love but ends up falling for her himself.
The drama combines romantic and fantasy genres, and when it aired, the drama received a stable rating because it was liked by many people. In addition, the chemistry between the two main actors also had time to make the audience in awe.
